Visiting Wingham
Thirteen kilometres up the Manning from Taree, 329 from Sydney. Trains on the North Coast line stop at Wingham station, a short walk from Central Park.
Come on a Saturday morning and start at the farmers market at the showground (8am to midday, since 2003), then walk the Brush boardwalk before lunch. The museum, the heritage walk around the square and the river wharf fill the afternoon easily.
Finding your way
The town square, Central Park, is the best place to start: the museum, the Town Hall, cafes and shops sit around its edges.
Wingham Brush and the river are a short stroll east down Farquhar Street.
